Jake has a desk calendar of the dumbest things ever said. For today's it had a clip from a newspaper ad. It said, "Suberb Owl Sunday". Hahahaha.
Anyways, is it going to be the STEELERS or the CARDINALS??? Since the two teams we were rooting for (Eagles & Ravens) lost in the play offs, we are kinda neutral on this one.
But Jake and I picked sides and this is what it came out to:
HEATHER: CARDINALS (a kid I grew up with in Laie (Aaron Fransisco) plays for the Cardinals)
JAKE: STEELERS (a few players from BYU-Provo play for the Steelers now. Jake is about all things BYU.)
It should be fun. We got all our favorite snacks and are making a party of it. Also, if you have any fun ideas for Suberb OWL sunday (hahaha), share them with me! I grew up in a home that didn't make a big deal about the Super Bowl, and Jake's did. But now I love it too! I wanna make it a family tradition to do something fun this day. I need ideas! Thanks!

Aaron went to BYU, doesn't that count Jake?
Anything bitesize works.
Some of our favorites are little wieners in a crock pot smothered in half a cup each of bbq sauce and grape JAM. (Not jelly) We also make home made salsa, and guac.
There's a ton of easy, kid friendly recipes too. Grilled Chese sandwiches into squares, PB&J squares, of course the local pupu's are in order too. You make it into something that suits you and Jake's tastes and flavors. Superb Owl is a great joke! Kiss the Jadinmeister for me!
