2 weeks with Jake and Family.....a much needed retreat!

We spent our first half with my family. They had 18 inches of snow! So the boys took advantage. They made the cutest snowman I have ever seen.

Our Winget Family Christmas Party was full of awsome foods, silly jokes, thoughtful gifts, wrestling, spiritual messages, and LOTS OF LOVE!!!!

Skye's 1st Hair Cut! She did not like it. Jake took us girls out for a Christmas hair cut and style! I got my hair cut first to show Skye how fun it really is to get pampered. She didn't buy it. I think she will be more happy with just painting her nails and "making her hair pretty" with flowers and bows.

Our 5 year Anniversary!

We went bowling! We both bowled better than we usually do. For me, that means I bowled more than a 50! hahahha....for Jake, the pro, it means he bowled more than 200!!!!! I have to admit, watching Jake bowl was fun enough for me. He is such a stud.

Jake is my soul mate. He is my complete opposite, and therefore, my perfect match. He keeps me grounded when my head feels like it's floating away. I am more in-love with him now than I ever remember being before. We have made two beautiful children together. We have become best friends (we got married only after 3 months of dating, so there was not so much time then). He is the only guy I know who can put up with all my crap and still be crazy about me. He makes me feel like a million bucks. I am the luckiest woman. I love you baby.

The second half of our vacation, we spent with Jake's family. Jadin always enjoys baking with grandparents.

They have quite the little farm there. So we spent time feeding the ducks, chickens, rabbits, kitties, and dog. The kids loved the animals and were excited to be around them. And let's be honest, mom and dad were just as excited, if not more.

CHRISTMAS EVE: One of our traditions is writing Santa a letter. Not so much as to ask him for a present, but to thank him for all his hard work. And also to tell him something the kids did that year to be good. Then also, Santa will write them a letter back. This has been such a blast for our family.

Another tradition we have started....making reindeer food and spreading it on the front lawn. (We mix oatmeal with colored crystals like sugar) We explain to the kids that when Santa comes, the reindeer are very hungry. And the "glitter" in the food makes it easier for the reindeer to find our house.

Christmas Eve Minute 2 Win It! Game Night. Mom and I set up a series of games like the hit show, "Minute 2 Win It". I recommend this for any party. You can find all the games and rules on their website. And all the materials needed are household items. The first game we played was the Holiday NutStacker where you have to stack nuts (metal hardware kind) by using just a candy cane! This was insane. The second game we played with the Christmas Stacker where you have 60 seconds to stack 36 cups in a perfect pyramid, take it down, and return cups to original stack. It's harder than it sounds, i promise!

Allie and Zeke kicked butt in this game where you have to balance 10 ornaments on a yard stick laying on a empty wrapping paper tube.

This game is called Royal Hanky Panky. You have 60 seconds to pull 180 tissues from a box using only one hand. This was my favorite. It got everyone laughing. Just try it tonight with your family. You'll be bustin' a gut too.

We also did the Elephant Swing where you wear nylons on your head with a baseball at the end of it. Then you have to knock over 8 bottles. To end off the games, we had to do the cracker on the face thing where you wiggle the cracker down from your forehead to your mouth.

CHRISTMAS MORNING: Jadin got a bell from Santa's sleigh. This is was Jadin kept asking for. (His favorite movie is Polar Express....if you have seen it, you will understand)

Skye had a great christmas too. The theme for most of the presents she got was baby dolls. She loved it! She is into the phase where she wants to feed and take care of a baby like what she sees moms doing. I love this stage!
