Our Jadin is now 2 years old!![]()
It seems not too long ago when we were celebrating his first birthday. And now today (October 13th) we are celebrating yet another year! This little guy is pretty special to us for so many reasons. Here are a few:
When you wake up from your naps, you say "Hold You" and I crawl into bed with you while you put your nose against mine. You stroke my face and hair while you tell me "Momma, hold you".
- You like to say, "whoa, that's cool" to just about anything.
- You pull our finger when you want us to come with you.
- You give us kisses and hugs by the dozens.
- You give knuckles and high fives.
- You smell your own feet and say, "stinky".
- You like to go to the library with mom. We sit on the floor together and read books. When mom stops, you get mad and say "again".
- You call Dad, "buddy".
- You call Mom, "Hon"
- You think your big boy shoes make you fast.
- You LOVE doing the dishes and sweeping.
- When we ask you if you'd like to have a bath, you politely say, "No" and go on with your business.
- When we give you time out, you stop crying and say, "All Done"
- When you finish eating you say, "All Pau" (Hawaiian for, done)
- You hate getting your hands, feet, clothes, and face dirty.
- Your favorite thing is to crawl around in dad's "truck".
- You giggle all the time about the little things. Mom and Dad join in before long.
- You go right up to the Snow College cheerleaders and start giving them kisses and hugs. They all love you too.
- You are such a flirt. You get all giggly around pretty girls. You do tricks for them. You point to them and say, "girls" with a cheesy grin.
These are just a few of the things we love about Jadin. I felt ambitious to plan a full-blown pirate party. This would be his first friend party. It was a blast. A friend has a real pirate ship built in their backyard. She offered to let us have his party there. Jade has been in to pirates lately, so it worked out perfectly. Here are some of the things we did there.
Time really does fly. I have really treasured these past 2 years with my "Little Dude" (as Jade would say). He has made my life feel so complete. I am excited for him to show Skye all sorts of things. And it makes me happy to know that Skye will be looking at Jadin's example to follow. He will teach her so many good things. His love for us is amazing. He appreciates life and enjoys it so much. He has made us so happy. Happy Birthday sweetheart!

ok whatever those pirate pictures of him are SO cute! i'm so sad we could come to the party! sorry i didn't text ya back today, its been a crazy day going back and forth to the hospital to see derek and drop girls of and pick them up and yuk! its not fun having a sick hubby :( i really wanna see ya tho soon and as soon as i know none of us are contagious or anything, its on! yay handsome JADE you're 2! oh how the time does fly!
I loved the comments about J. That is so precious. He is going to give you trouble with the girls! :) Where was this pirate ship? That party looked really fun!
Maybe it's all the extra hormones of being pregnant, but reading all those things you love about your son made me get all tear filled eyes... I love hearing other people talk about their kids- it makes me so excited to be a mother! You have the cutest family Heather.
