HULA in the boondogs

So I finally did it. I started my own hula halau here in the boonies of Utah. I am so excited. I taught my first hula lessons last week. There weren't as many girls signed up as I'd like, but it's a start and I am loving it. My group is called HULA HALAU O LA'IE WAI. This name was given to me by Uncle Sam and Aunty Kela from La'ie. It has so much meaning behind it that is really dear to me. We will be getting ready for our Winter recital and I will give you dates and times if you're interested in coming! I would love any support you have for me. I am scared cause this is HUGE, but I am ready to tackle the task. A lot of people here are skeptical because I don't have dark skin and brown eyes. But I will just have to prove everyone wrong and do my thing.
